About Soubhagya Ranjan Sahoo

Ikat or Bandha are the yarn tie-resist textiles of Orissa. The yarns are tied with great precision and subjected to elaborate dying processes, using cold water dyes. The skillful patterns that emerge combine Ikat and relief texture due to supplementary warp and weft weaves.
