The 1st Annual Handmade Collective
The first time an event happens, is always the most memorable and exciting one. A Hundred Hands had just come into existence in 2010 August, and in November of the same year, we decided to have our first Handmade Collective. Our focus was on contemporary traditional crafts and ‘handmade’ as a concept came to the forefront. The Collective is also very memorable because it happened in our own garden with about 15 artists and also our first ‘Dirty your Hands’ section took place for kids which helped us reach out to various schools in Bangalore.
With hand drawn posters and a lot of improvisation, we opened the gates of our little garden to the world. And there has been no looking back since then. Many of our supporters still remember our first handmade collective ever so fondly.
